Venue: The Tunnels (under the Grand Adelaide Treasury)
This exhibition was my first ‘event’ art show. Exhibited over a couple of weeks, this organisation ran a budget exhibition aiming to highlight South Aussie artists within a VERY cool venue. The opening night was a mix of history, beautifully eerie enclosed spaces and quirky artworks and performances. I had three pieces in the exhibition, a trilogy I named ‘Baby Beneath.’ I was really obsessed with Alphonse Mucha and art nouveau at the time, and was using acrylic paints and ink to create my ode to this style. With a focus on 1920’s underground music, my pieces were intricate and detailed – and I just had to dress in a complimenting style on the night!
